Contents, structure and composition
The Menaion text contains verses to be read in May.
The number, set, composition and location of songs differ from what is accepted nowadays [Makary, 440]. The order of verses reflects the old type of arrangement [Yagich, LXVII-LXVIII; Momina, 218; Nechunayeva 2000, 19, 38-41, 52-56, 152-154).
The set of praises for special days differs Putyatina Mineia from other old Russian and even Slavonic Service Menaions for May [Sergy, 211-212; Momina, 218; Nechunayeva 1982, 6-11; Nechunayeva 1994, 98; Nechunayeva 2000, 38-41, 81-82].
By its structure, composition and linguistic (taking into account lexical variant readings in the lists of May Service Menaions) charcateriscts N.A. Nechunayeva refers PM to a special Old Type I of Service Menaions [Nechunayeva 2000, 38-62 and so on, 157] used in Russia till the introduction of the Studysky monastery regulations [Nechunayeva 2000, 55, 56 and so on, 153].
